There are lots of reasons to send direct emails out to your customer list. A periodic newsletter helps keep your users in the loop, helps build a sense of community. Direct emails also mean direct sales opportunities. No matter the purpose, adding a well-crafted audio message to your emails will have a dramatic impact on your all-important response rate. But sometimes, you feel like you're playing slots when you watch your response rate. Traditional direct text email brings an average response rate of 1/10% to 1%. Compare that with an average response rate of between 4.2% and 40% (really!) for audio email. A significant difference.
